About This Site

Here I will write about this project.
I started this project a few months ago because I wanted my own version of the popular LinkTree site that so many people are using. Partly because I like the idea and find it useful, but also because I wanted to see if I could make my own version. As it turns out, I can.

This version of the site is actually so good and functional that I have 4 separate accounts that I use myself!

It ended up being a little more challenging than I expected. But that's ok. In the end, I have a very functional little version of this. It's customizable in a number of ways. It does everything I want it to.

The original intention was to open this up to the public so that anyone who wanted to make their own little link site could. But here's the thing. The general public cannot be trusted. Once someone is given use of a control panel for a site like this, the first thing they will do is hack it, or break it. The other concern is people posting links to things that I do NOT want on my servers or associated with my business.

I'm a developer and a programmer.  I like to build things.  I have exactly zero patience for people who choose to just vandalize or cause trouble.  I don't have to time to site here and moderate how people would use this thing.  So, I really have no plans to release this project to the public.
